As a successful entrepreneur turned author, Barbara Metzler is an expert on American giving, nonprofits, volunteering, as well as “passionaries,” a word she coined to mean “passionate visionaries.” While raising her children, Barbara started five successful companies including The Farmer’s Wife, a multi-million dollar corporation selling tree-fruit by-products. For 24 years, she has been involved with YPO, WPO, and CEO. In 2007, she was named “California Woman of the Year.”

Her four children have now graduated and she currently lives with her husband in San Diego. An amazing and eclectic network of friends and contacts inspire her to share stories of American greatness and that of others who dream of making a difference.
